MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT
There are many opportunities to participate in League activities depending on your interests and how involved you wish to become.
Do as much or as little as you like!
Here are some of the activities of the Clallam League: our annual membership luncheon meeting is held in May; in December we gather for a potluck luncheon; in February, we present a fund-raiser luncheon--"Hot Topics", all featuring special guest speakers. We attend a program planning meeting in January, in March we celebrate Women's History Month with a special program and some of us travel to Olympia for Lobby Day. Members volunteer to serve in activities such as conducting debates; presenting educational forums; observing governmental meetings and sharing observations; undertaking studies of specific issues; and facilitating meetings. Committees include Health Care, Membership, Education, Voter Service, Observer Corps, and Water Study. Some members spend time together in "Along-Side-the-League Activities"--these are not official League activities--including Book Club, Walk 'n Talk, and Discussion Group.
Please advise us of your interests, skills, and abilities, as well as an indication of how involved you care to become. Perhaps you have an idea of how you wish to participate, or we can offer you some suggestions.
MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
Women—and men, since 1974—who are citizens and at least 18 years old may join the League as voting members. Associate (non-voting) membership is available for younger people and non-citizens. Joining at any level of the organization automatically confers membership at every level — Clallam County, Washington State and the United States. These are the different levels of membership:
